WooCommerce checkout monitoring that buys like a customer
A WooCommerce store can answer every page with 200 while nobody can pay. MageSentinel opens your store in a real browser on a schedule, adds a product to the cart and walks the checkout to the payment step. When a step fails, you get the step, a screenshot and the console errors.
The whole purchase, in a real browser
- Product page, add to cart, cart, checkout, shipping and payment
- Works on the Checkout block and on the classic [woocommerce_checkout] shortcode
- Stops at the payment step by default; with the plugin connected it can place a real order
Payment methods and cart
- Checks that at least one payment method renders on the checkout
- Confirms the cart shows the product and the price you expect
- Reports a missing payment form or a gateway error with its own failure code
Alerts with evidence
- Email, Slack, Teams or webhook
- A failure is re-checked once before anyone is alerted
- Each alert names the failing step and links the screenshot and console log
As often as the store needs
- Every 30 minutes on Solo and Starter, every 15 on Agency, every 5 on Scale
- From €19 a month for one store
- 14-day trial, no card required
Set it up in a few minutes
- 1Add the storePaste the store address. MageSentinel detects that it runs WooCommerce.
- 2Pick a test productA cheap, simple product that is always in stock. It can be hidden from the catalog.
- 3Choose where alerts goA Slack channel or an inbox someone reads, and how often the check runs.
What breaks a WooCommerce checkout while the site stays up
- A plugin or theme auto-update overnight that hides a required field or the payment form
- A payment gateway that stops rendering after its own update or an expired API key
- Caching or "delay JS" settings that cache the cart or defer the gateway script
- A switch between the Checkout block and the shortcode that a plugin does not support
- Shipping zones or rates that no longer match the test address
Free WordPress plugin for the inside view
The MageSentinel Monitor plugin checks from inside WordPress what a browser cannot see: whether the checkout page is still published, whether any payment method is enabled, whether a shipping zone exists and whether scheduled tasks run on time. It is free on WordPress.org and works on its own or connected to your MageSentinel account.
01What is WooCommerce checkout monitoring?
A scheduled test that opens a product, adds it to the cart and goes through the WooCommerce checkout like a customer, and alerts you when a step fails.
02Why monitor the checkout if uptime monitoring says the site is up?
An uptime check loads one URL. Plugin updates, gateway changes and caching rules break the checkout while every page still returns 200, so only a test that walks the purchase sees them.
03Does it place real orders?
Not by default. The check stops at the payment step. If you connect the WordPress plugin, you can let it place a real order with a payment method you choose.
04Does it work with the WooCommerce Checkout block?
Yes. It handles both the Checkout block and the classic shortcode checkout.
05How often does it check?
Every 30 minutes on Solo and Starter, every 15 minutes on Agency and every 5 minutes on Scale.
